Finance ministers and central bank governors of the Group of 20 major economies wrapped up their meeting in Bangkok on Thursday.
They concluded their talks without adopting a joint statement.
Participants reportedly voiced concerns over a risk that inflation and rising interest rates could pull down the global economy.
Their concern stems from factors such as high crude oil prices.
They also reportedly pointed out the possible negative impact that sophisticated AI models could have on the financial system if they are misused.
Japanese Finance Minister Katayama Satsuki attended the meeting.
She reaffirmed the G20’s view that excessive fluctuation in the currency market would
adversely affect the economy.
She reportedly went on to note the need to closely monitor financial markets.
