A new online portal, sportsofbahrain.com, has been launched, providing exclusive coverage of sports activities in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Strategic Publicity & Advertising Company W.L.L (SPAC WLL), the management company of The Daily Tribune and newsofbahrain.com, has officially launched Sports of Bahrain – a dedicated digital portal celebrating the Kingdom’s sporting excellence.

The logo unveiling ceremony was officiated by Mohammed Shahid, President of Brave Combat Federation and CEO of KHK Sports, in the presence of SPAC WLL Chairman P. Unnikrishnan, senior editors, and members of Bahrain’s sporting community.

Platform

Live at sportsofbahrain.com, the platform brings fans across Bahrain and beyond closer to the action in football, motorsport, combat sports, club competitions, and grassroots leagues through real-time updates, in-depth features, exclusive interviews, and video storytelling.

Sports of Bahrain is our tribute to the Kingdom’s athletes and fans,” said P. Unnikrishnan, Chairman of SPAC WLL. “To the best of our knowledge, this is Bahrain’s first dedicated online portal exclusively for sports. As the Kingdom continues its journey toward becoming a regional sports hub, this platform will serve as a one-stop destination for every sports enthusiast — from grassroots supporters to professional athletes. We are investing in a medium that combines speed with substance, celebrates local heroes, and gives every federation, club, and school team a voice. This initiative is driven as much by national pride as by journalistic purpose, and our success will be measured by how well we serve Bahrain’s sporting community at every level.”

Mohammed Shahid said, “The launch of Sports of Bahrain marks a defining moment for the Kingdom’s sports ecosystem. For years, Bahrain has nurtured champions and hosted world-class events; now, this platform will bring their stories to life for audiences everywhere. It will inspire young athletes, empower federations, and showcase Bahrain’s global leadership in sport.”

Speaking from his new role as Sports Editor, Hussain Almaskati added, “Our newsroom will meet fans where they are, offering coverage that is fast, clear, and deeply informed. From youth leagues to international championships, we will combine match facts with context, data with storytelling, and highlights with human voices. The goal is to make Sports of Bahrain the trusted daily habit for anyone who loves sport in the Kingdom.”

Sports of Bahrain forms part of SPAC WLL’s digital expansion strategy, recognising the growing appetite for dedicated sports journalism that unites athletes, institutions, and fans. As Bahrain’s sporting ambitions rise and its competitors gain prominence on the international stage, the portal will serve as a clear, authoritative voice reflecting not only scores and results but the spirit of excellence that defines Bahraini sport.

Coverage

Across its pages, visitors will find fast-breaking match reports and fixtures, athlete-first storytelling that goes behind the scenes, data-led analysis of trends and competition, and mobile-first photo and video content tailored for how fans consume sport today. Social channels tagged ‘@sportsofbahrain’ on Instagram, X, and Facebook will further amplify live coverage, exclusive clips, and fan-driven conversations, extending engagement beyond the website.

Sportsofbahrain will soon add more interesting elements, including connecting sports trainers from around the world for online tutorials. The launch marks a milestone for Bahrain’s media landscape, offering an integrated sports hub designed for a new generation of readers and sports enthusiasts.
