Lost 8 Kilos after IPL for Yo-Yo Test

Indian cricket team recently gave a fitness test ahead of the Asia Cup 2025, where players gave their testament of being fit for the tournament. Star cricketer Rohit Sharma was one such player, who gave his best to be fit for this criteria. However, he did not make use of any substance in order to cheat his way through, and genuinely worked on his wellness.

Today’s world is full of fitness influencers, who usually depend on GLP-1 drugs such as Ozempic to help in weight-loss. However, Rohit Sharma did not get influenced by these drugs, and Ryan Fernando (celebrity nutritionist) revealed that Rohit solely worked on his diet and showed excellent cardio fitness.

I worked with Rohit Sharma on his diet. He’s demonstrated excellent cardiovascular fitness. He recently passed the yo-yo test, which is the highest possible level. This measures endurance, agility, and match readiness. Now maybe his puffiness or his body composition does not appeal to us in India, but his results speak for themselves. So it’s very wrong for us to be judgmental. It’s like in India—you go to a party and somebody’s too skinny, somebody’s too fat, and you make fun of them,” he said.

Indian team is set to begin their Asia Cup campaign with their tournament opener being against United Arab Emirates (UAE) on September 10.
Indian squad:
Suryakumar Yadav (c), Shubman Gill, Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya, Shivam Dube, Jitesh Sharma, Axar Patel, Jasprit Bumrah, Varun Chakaravarthy, Arshdeep Singh, Kuldeep Yadav, Sanju Samson, Harshit Rana, Rinku Singh.
