Robert Jenrick clashed with an ITV journalist on Good Morning Britain on Thursday (29 October), accusing him of always asking negative questions about Reform UK.

Paul Brand asked the former Conservative MP whether he felt “defector remorse” after new Ipsos voter intention polling from 25 October showed that Reform UK were down three points. Further polling by the market research company showed that one in five British adults (19 per cent) believe Reform UK is ready to form the next government, which is a drop from 22 per cent in September and 29 per cent in September 2025.

The presenter also raised that the Reform treasury spokesperson and Nigel Farage faced rows of empty seats at a venue during their pre-Budget speeches on Monday.

“Paul, you are a left-wing commentator and activist… You obviously don’t want Reform to succeed… You always just ask negative questions about Reform,” Mr Jenrick said.
