World Leisure Jobs – Dior announces first spa in Italy at Belmond’s Hotel Splendido in Portofino…

Dior, which has been quietly opening luxury spas in high-end locations around the world, including La Samaritaine and Cheval Blanc in Paris, Eden-Roc on the Côte d’Azur and the Lana, Dubai, has revealed the location of its next opening – Belmond’s super luxe Hotel Splendido in Portofino on the Italian Riviera.

The spa will open on 7 June.

Dior has hosted a pop-up spa for guests in the Dior Jardin des Rêves at the Hotel Splendino for the past two summers and the success of these has inspired the opening of the permanent Dior Spa Splendido.

Resplendent in Dior’s signature Toile de Jouy fabrics, the spa will offer a range of high-end treatments, including signature offering – SplendiDior – a 90 minute face and body ritual using semi-precious stones at 450€ for 90 minutes and D-Calm, a 60-minute treatment for sun exposure and including a dermo-repairing cataplasm wrap at €330.

‘La Dolce Vita Therapy’ will feature a yoga session, a full body massage and a facial, while ‘A Getaway in Portofino’ starts with a lunch at the Splendido Grill, overlooking Portofino Bay, followed by a SplendiDior treatment.

Set across two floors of the hotel, with views over the sea, the indoor-outdoor spa will offer a nature-inspired experience that complements the hotel’s existing Dior Jardin des Rêves.

Guests will be welcomed in a lounge bathed in natural light and offering Dior retailing.

The spa will have four treatment rooms, one of which transforms into a beauty boudoir, as well as a double room with uninterrupted views of the sea.

The centerpiece will be a rooftop terrace surrounded by gardens, offering guests a place to relax post-treatment. Natural materials such as rattan, reed canopies, and cotton drapes will create a shaded space with lounge chairs and a wellness bar serving customised drinks.

The opening is part of a phased renovation of Hotel Splendido by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio.
