World Obesity Day: Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya urges citizens to reduce oil intake and stay fit

Today, on World Obesity Day, Union Youth Affairs & Sports Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya has highlighted the importance of adopting a healthier lifestyle to combat obesity.

He has requested citizens to take a pledge to reduce at least 10% of oil in their daily food and engage in physical activities like cycling, yoga, and exercise to stay fit.

Dr. Mandaviya, known for promoting health and wellness initiatives, highlighted that excessive oil consumption is a major factor leading to obesity and other lifestyle diseases such as heart conditions and diabetes.

Dr. Mandaviya’s initiative aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a fit and healthy India, encouraging individuals to make small but impactful lifestyle changes. 

In his post on X, he urged people to join the campaign of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, 

By reducing oil intake, people can improve their overall health, maintain better cholesterol levels, and prevent serious illnesses.

He also stressed the importance of regular exercise and fitness activities in maintaining a healthy body.

Cycling and yoga not only help in weight management but also boost metabolism and mental well-being.

The government has been actively running awareness programs to encourage people to adopt healthier eating habits and active lifestyles.

Obesity has become a global health concern, affecting millions of people due to poor diet and lack of physical activity.
