Xbox has reportedly secured exclusive streaming rights to Grand Theft Auto VI, according to The Verge.

Xbox CEO Asha Sharma in an internal town hall told employees Microsoft was getting ready to do something around the highly anticipated game that “no other platform holder is doing.” Sources familiar with Microsoft’s plans says it is a deal for exclusive game streaming rights.

The deal means only Xbox Cloud Gaming will be allowed to stream Grand Theft Auto VI to players at launch. It isn’t clear how long the deal will be for. The streaming service is available on PC, so Xbox Cloud Gaming will be the only way PC players will have access to the game at launch as an official PC version of the game has yet to be announced.

This report comes a month after Microsoft announced it will be limiting the number of hours allowed to use Xbox Cloud Gaming for Xbox Game Pass subscribers starting in November, the same month Grand Theft Auto VI will launch.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will have 15 hours per month, followed by the Premium tier at 10 hours and the Essential tier at just five hours. An option to pay for more hours will be available.

Players who are not Game Pass subscribers starting in November will also be able to purchase Xbox Cloud Gaming hours without the need to subscribe to Game Pass. Details on pricing will be shared before the changes take effect.

Grand Theft Auto VI will launch for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19.
