Britney Spears pulled a white scarf over her face during a lunch outing in New York City, shielding herself as cameras captured her inside a restaurant and on her way out.
The 44-year-old singer visited RinTinTin in Manhattan’s Nolita neighborhood on Thursday, October 15. She spent a little over an hour there before leaving with her security team, according to TMZ.
The photographs follow Spears’ earlier complaints about how paparazzi portray her during everyday outings. She has said that publishers’ choice of pictures makes her reluctant to go outside.
On her own social accounts, Spears has recently shared a family vacation and continued discussing the restrictions she experienced under her conservatorship.
Spears Covers Her Face as She Arrives at RinTinTin
Spears stepped out of a car and headed into RinTinTin with a white scarf pulled over her face. She wore a green dress beneath a dark coat and oversized sunglasses, and carried a light-colored handbag.
Photographs from her departure, published by Page Six, showed her security team carrying a brown paper bag. Once back inside the car, Spears was photographed smoking and using her phone. Eyewitnesses told TMZ that she had three glasses of red wine during the visit.
She Called Paparazzi Photos ‘Incredibly Mean’ in November 2025
In an Instagram video posted November 20, 2025, Spears objected to photographs taken during a California outing. She said paparazzi consistently selected images she considered unflattering and complained that the pictures looked dramatically different from her appearance in person.
“It’s so offensive and so incredibly mean,” she said, according to Parade.
Spears questioned the business behind those images, saying photographers could make considerable money from a bad shot because it prompted people to talk. She wore a white lace scarf over her head while addressing followers.
Some social media users had questioned whether the photographs showed Spears at all, comparing them with pictures Kim Kardashian had recently shared. In her response, Spears acknowledged that she was the person pictured and challenged how she had been photographed.
Spears Said She Remains ‘Bitter’ About Her Conservatorship
Over the weekend before her Manhattan lunch, Spears posted a video accompanied by a caption about the years when other people controlled her personal and financial decisions. Page Six reported on the message on October 12, after the caption had been removed.
She described herself as “bitter” about the time she had lost and recalled being unable to travel freely to visit a friend. She also wrote about how recently she had regained access to cash.
The conservatorship began in February 2008, with her father, Jamie Spears, overseeing significant parts of her personal and financial affairs. During testimony in 2021, Spears called the arrangement abusive and asked the court to end it. A Los Angeles judge terminated the conservatorship that November.
Her Dollywood Photos Included Both Sons
Spears posted a photograph from Dollywood on October 7, standing between sons Sean Preston and Jayden James Federline in front of the Tennessee theme park’s entrance sign. “I didn’t know this place existed,” she wrote in the caption, calling the park “absolutely adorable,” as PEOPLE reported.
She also shared footage of herself and Jayden on a spinning ride. The family trip followed both sons’ September birthdays, when Sean Preston turned 21 and Jayden turned 20.
A Previously Unreleased Song Arrived Ahead of Her Album Anniversary
On October 9, Spears released “She’ll Never Be Me,” recorded for her 2001 album Britney. She co-wrote the track with Justin Timberlake, Alex Greggs and Bradley Daymond.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the recording is part of Britney (25th Anniversary Edition), scheduled for November 6. Her official Facebook page announced that additional surprises would arrive weekly before the reissue.
