Pune Media is a digital-first news and media publisher focused on high-signal news. We work where global perspective meets local impact. Our platform curates stories and event coverage from publishers around the world and always credits the original source.

Our core editorial mission is to fight information overload. We use topic-focused feeds and automated filtering to cut down global news noise, so readers get the updates that matter without the publication intruding on their personal space or quality time.

Pune Media is a global news publication. “Pune” is our brand name. Like many publications named after a city, our name does not limit what we cover. We are not a Pune-only or India-only site.

How Pune Media Works

Pune Media is an automated news curation service. Articles are selected and published automatically. They are not individually reviewed or fact-checked by a human before publication. We want readers to know how our articles are put together, so this is how the process works today:

  • Sourcing: Stories are drawn automatically from Google News search feeds on the topics covered by each section.
  • Processing: Publishing software retrieves the articles. An automated cleaning step then removes clutter such as share buttons, menus, advertisements and broken images.
  • Publishing: Articles are published automatically on a schedule under desk bylines. Posts that lack a featured image or content are held back and not published. Duplicate headlines are skipped.
  • Disclosure: Every article carries a visible Editorial Disclosure card that explains it is curated coverage.
  • Attribution: Every article includes a prominent Original Coverage & Source Attribution link that credits and links to the original publisher.
  • AI use: AI rewriting is not currently enabled. If we use AI assistance in the future, the Editorial Disclosure card on each affected article will say so.

Desk bylines identify the topic area of an automatically published article. They are not individual reporters or staffed teams, and articles published under desk bylines are not individually reviewed by a human before publication. James Bayas is the Editor of Pune Media. He is responsible for the publication’s editorial policy and standards and for handling correction and takedown requests. He does not review each automatically published article before it goes live.

His areas of interest include geopolitics, OSINT, finance, faith, history and culture. He is a technology executive with more than 30 years of experience in sovereign infrastructure, cybersecurity, web3 and cross-border remittance.

Pune Media will be funded by advertising, including Google AdSense, and by clearly labelled sponsored content. Advertising spaces on the site are placeholders for now.
