Fans will see less of these Hollywood faces going forward, and Jenna Ortega is one of them.

As the pressure of the industry is ever-increasing, certain entertainers have declared their intention to take a step back from the cameras. In contrast, others have hinted at the possibility of reduced screen time.

It is no secret that Hollywood produces talent; however, several stars have been vocal about the cost of fame. A new phase is dawning for Jenna Ortega outside the industry, and she seems pumped and ready.

Ortega grew up in front of the cameras, moving from one TV set to another before landing her iconic role on “Wednesday.” Filming has officially wrapped for the Netflix series’ third season, scheduled to hit screens in 2027, and that may mark the actress’ last TV appearance for a while.

The TV star shared her decision to step away from the industry during a recent appearance on Josh Horowitz’s “Happy Sad Confused” podcast, explaining that she is ready to explore other experiences.

“I think after ‘Wednesday,’ I’ll probably be off the TV for a while,” Ortega told the podcast host, adding that she’s spent “many years doing that” and wants time for “new things.” The Blast noted that while she is ready for a break, the TV star was not completely shutting the door on acting.

Another Hollywood icon who grew up hearing “lights, camera, action” regularly is Zendaya; from her Disney days to starring in Netflix and HBO series. This year has been exceptionally packed for the actress who starred in “Euphoria,” “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” “Dune: Part Three,” “The Drama,” and “The Odyssey,” all of which hit screens this year.

In an interview earlier this year, she said she hopes viewers don’t get tired of seeing her face in theatres. The Disney alum also thanked supporters who continue to cheer her on as she thrives in Hollywood, before hinting she will be taking a break, as reported by PEOPLE.

“I just hope you guys don’t get sick of me this year because I’ll tell you what: after this, I’m disappearing for a little bit. I’m going to have to go into hiding for just a little bit,” Zendaya disclosed.

David Krumholtz Also Announced His ‘Indefinite Break’

The “Superbad” actor, who has appeared in several films since the early 90s, announced last August that he would be stepping away from acting.

He shared the update in a now-deleted Threads post explaining that he feels “frustrated, fed up, fried” with the business, noting that “the profession has lost its gleam.” The “Oppenheimer” star clarified that he was not completely saying goodbye to his career but was “just taking a bit of a step back and an indefinite break.”

He also thanked fans for the heartwarming support, revealing that he had been petrified to make this major move for years, fearing he’d go broke, as Deadline reported. Krumholtz noted that putting his career on hold was like removing a “humongous burden” from his shoulders.

Bryan Cranston Is Taking A Year Off For Quality Time

Headlines initially reported that Cranston was retiring from the entertainment industry; however, the “Breaking Bad” star set the record straight. He explained that he was hitting the “pause button for a year” after turning 70 in March.

The TV star explained that taking time away from the Hollywood buzz would allow him to spend time with his beautiful wife of 34 years in a way he hasn’t been able to over the past two decades.

Cranston, in a lengthy Instagram post, added that his break would also give him time and the opportunity to “reset” his career, which has been “an unbelievable ride for over two decades. The actor noted that, besides stepping away from acting, he would also step away from social media to focus on his new goals and experiences.

Tom Holland Also Hinted At A 2027 Hollywood Break

The “Spider-Man” star has been open about the importance of taking breaks, especially given the physical demands of his action-film roles. In 2021, he spoke about his desire to start a family and enjoy other experiences outside the world of acting.

Two years later, Holland revealed that he had taken a break from acting after shooting his incredibly “difficult” role in “The Crowded Room,” which took a toll on his mental health.

“I’m no stranger to the physical aspects of the job, doing the whole action-movie thing. But the mental aspect, it really beat me up, and it took a long time for me to recover afterward, to sort of get back to reality,” he said in an interview at the time.

Holland recently said he would “probably take a bit more time off in 2027,” stressing that breaks are important to avoid burnout.
