Anne Hathaway has had quite the busy year, and soon she’ll be taking a very well-deserved break. Most recently, the movie star was spotted out and about on the press tour for Verity, her fifth and final film of 2026, alongside co-stars Dakota Johnson and Josh Hartnett.
As beauty editors, we can’t stop thinking about her glowing skin. The soon-to-be mom of three has been radiating throughout the press tour, making several TV and radio appearances along the way.
For the New York City premiere, Hathaway was glammed up for the red carpet by her team of experts and stylists, including celebrity makeup artist Hung Vanngo. The beauty founder created her flawless base with his namesake brand’s Hung Vanngo Beauty Red Carpet Skin Luminous Serum Foundation in shade 6, a light-neutral with slightly cool undertones.
Oftentimes, though, a lasting glow goes deeper than makeup. According to Dr. Melissa Doft, a double-board-certified plastic surgeon and founder of Doft New York Skincare, the best way to boost your glow is to increase hydration with hyaluronic acid and other humectants, brighten your skin with vitamin C, niacinamide, and anti-pigmentation agents like kojic acid, and exfoliate gently with AHAs and BHAs. She adds, “To keep that glow, make sure to use daily SPF 50 sunscreen.”
Treatments performed at her clinic for that desirable radiance include Laser Genesis, microneedling with RF, and a range of peels. “To help brighten the skin and give [an] overall glow, I advise patients to do a session or two of Laser Genesis to stimulate collagen, and microneedling with RF to reduce pore size and tighten the skin,” she explains. She adds, “We often add a light Fraxel laser, a cool peel to improve overall tone, and a VI Peel to help with discoloration. All five procedures can be performed alone or in combination.”
Skin care for glowing skin
As for skin care, Doft recommends protecting the skin in the morning with an antioxidant-rich serum that contains vitamin C and niacinamide. “I would advise using Vitamin, which is filled with antioxidants like Vitamin C, niacinamide, and [it] also includes stem cells to help boost skin vitality and peptides to help firm the skin,” she says.
Doft also recommends using Serum Seven in the morning and night. “This serum works through seven unique pathways, blocking inflammation and the production of pigment to brighten the skin, reduce stored pigment, and increase pigment breakdown,” she explains.
Makeup for glowing skin
Achieving a glowy makeup look is easier than ever, thanks to the wide range of products available. Start with an illuminating primer to create a luminous base for the rest of your routine. It also helps grip your makeup and keep it in place for longer. Some primers offer a blurring effect while others focus on moisturizing and plumping the skin.
Choose your foundation + concealer
Next, follow up with your preferred foundation and concealer. A matte finish can work, but to keep the glowy momentum going, opt for a dewy or serum formula instead. If you tend to get shiny, finish with a light dusting of translucent powder to absorb any excess oil.
Choose a highlight
Complete your look with a cream or powder highlighter. It brings everything together while adding an extra dose of luminosity.
For a finishing touch, mist on a glowy setting spray, such as Iconic London Prep-Set-Glow Hydrating Glowy Setting Spray, and voilà! You’re ready for wherever the day or night takes you.
