The first episodes of Bing: Sensory Time will be in time for Halloween
UK production outfit Acamar Films is launching a sensory-focused miniseries spun off from its hit animated preschool show Bing.
Bing: Sensory Time is designed to help young viewers slow down and explore the world around them through their senses, encouraging them to look, listen, move, notice, anticipate and respond.
It aims to help preschoolers develop important early skills including attention, communication and physical coordination.
Created with support from Bing’s early years educational consultant Natascha Crandall, the series will launch on the Bing YouTube channel, initially in the UK with further territories to follow. It will also be available on Acamar Films’ public service-focused YouTube channel Again! Again!.
The first episode will launch in time for Halloween, with a new video following every other week.
Mikael Shields, CEO of Acamar Films and producer of Bing, said: “We believe that meeting the needs of the audience is more meaningful than trying to second-guess any algorithm, so Bing broadcast episodes are produced at an age-appropriate pace. With Bing: Sensory Time, we’re extending the world of Bing even further into a new gentler viewing experience for our youngest audience members.”
