Parkway Drive have announced their new live album, Home — Live At The Sydney Opera House, arriving December 4 via Epitaph Records. The band have also shared a live performance of “Prey” as the first preview of the release.
The album captures Parkway Drive’s sold-out performance at the Sydney Opera House, where the Australian metalcore band reworked songs from across their catalog with a full symphony orchestra and special guests.
The one-night-only concert marked a departure from the band’s usual arena production, replacing their elaborate stage effects with orchestral arrangements. The performance took place before approximately 2,000 seated attendees, with tickets reportedly selling out in just three minutes.
The show was also one of the band’s most technically demanding performances, bringing the five members together with orchestral musicians to present new interpretations of their material.
Home — Live At The Sydney Opera House serves as the soundtrack to the accompanying concert film, Parkway Drive: Home, produced by Mushroom Studios and screening in select cinemas.
The 20-track release includes performances of “Carrion,” “Horizons,” “Wild Eyes,” “Crushed,” “Darker Still” and “The Void,” along with guest appearances from Matthew Doyle, Nooky and Jenna McDougall.
Pre-orders for the album are available now. Check out the live performance of “Prey” below.
