These figures point towards the Shine 100 being a smoother and more tractable engine, with peak power figures being achieved at a lower rev range. The Shine 100 also gets electronic fuel injection and an electric start function, along with a manual kick-start. Both motorcycles offer a 4-gear transmission.
2. Hero Splendor Plus vs Honda Shine 100 – Fuel Capacity And Weight:
In terms of fuel tank capacity, the Splendor Plus gets a 9.8-litre fuel tank and the Honda Shine gets a smaller 9.0-litre fuel tank. The difference in capacity makes a considerable difference in terms of total range, as the Splendor Plus has a claimed mileage of 70 kmpl, whereas the Shine 100 has a claimed mileage of 55 kmpl. This effectively gives the Splendor Plus an upper hand in terms of fuel efficiency and running costs.
