Behavox has acquired Apiax, a Zurich-based provider of embedded compliance software for the financial services industry.

Its rules engine turns complex regulation into machine-readable rules that give firms actionable answers inside their own systems.

Behavox runs an AI-native controls platform for global banks, asset managers, hedge funds and commodity firms.

It covers the full process, from regulatory intelligence to monitoring and evidence.

Under the deal, Apiax provides the interpretation layer, turning regulation into rules at the point of business.

Those answers then flow into Behavox’s surveillance tools and regulatory archive, keeping one evidence trail.

“Apiax adds the interpretation layer that turns regulation into action at the point of business,”

said Kiryl Trembovolski, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Behavox.

“Being part of a platform that runs from regulatory intelligence through to monitoring means our customers get more from everything we have built,”

said Philip Schoch, Co-Founder and CEO of Apiax.

According to Behavox, the deal brings more of the compliance process onto one platform.

Existing Apiax customers keep the same product and team, with added support from Behavox’s R&D and customer success staff.

The deal builds on Behavox’s recent growth in Europe. In August 2026, it opened a Milan office.

Two months earlier, HPS Investment Partners, part of BlackRock, made a US$175 million preferred equity investment in the company.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
