Brandi Glanville is mourning the loss of her father, Guy Glanville. He was 77.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum announced the sad news on Saturday, telling followers on X, “My dad died, I’m gutted I hate this life right now.”
She did not offer any additional details about her father’s death. However, earlier this year, Glanville referenced her father’s health struggles, sharing that he had experienced a medical emergency.
“Been completely off the grid,” she wrote in May. “Dad in cardiac unit at the hospital & it’s day 13 now. We are both medical mysteries. Pray for my dad Guy Glanville.”
Representatives for Glanville did not immediately respond to Entertainment Weekly‘s request for comment.

Throughout her career, Brandi has been candid about her rocky relationship with Guy, who shared the reality star and her siblings Tricia and Michael with wife Judith Glanville. In fact, Brandi and Guy brought their relationship into the public eye while appearing together on Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars Family Edition in 2018.
While the father and daughter ultimately left the show on good terms, Brandi later revealed that things took a bad turn after the episodes began airing and claimed that Guy suddenly stopped speaking to her.
“My dad and I, we left the show in a great space and then, when the show aired, we haven’t talked since,” Brandi told Entertainment Tonight in August 2018, following the show’s season premiere. “You know, he’s not done TV before, and I warned him ahead of time, ‘They’re not going to be able to show everything that we shot. They’re going to show the highlights, so you have to write down notes and understand it’s going to be the highlights of what we shot, and don’t get mad – you’re gonna get mad all over again,’ and ultimately, he did.”
At the time, Glanville told the outlet that she has “unfortunately” gotten used to being surprised by the edit, thanks to her tenure on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but acknowledged that seeing the show play out publicly was more difficult for her father.
“I can handle it. For him, I think he cares what his friends and everyone was saying about what they saw,” she said. “I thought they gave him a great edit, to be honest, ’cause he was a little bit worried.”
She continued, “We haven’t talked since, unfortunately. But I love him dearly. He’s everything. I’m just, I’m leaving [it] in his corner. Because you know me, I get a little aggressive.”

The duo eventually patched things up. In 2020, during Glanville’s public feud with fellow Housewives star Denise Richards, Guy supported her with a video shared via Instagram, per Us Weekly.
“My daughter may be many things, sometimes an asshole, but she is not a liar,” Guy said in the video.
Following Glanville’s announcement of her father’s death, condolences poured in from fans and friends. Real Housewives of New York City star Sonja Morgan was among those who wished Brandi well, writing, “So sorry you are going through this Brandi. Sending love and strength.”
