Selma Blair wrote about biting people in her memoir
Blair wrote her memoir, ‘Mean Baby: A Memoir of Growing Up,’ in 2022, four years before her assault case, in which she shared details about the people she had bitten over her career. The book detailed the star’s journey in the industry and her struggle with substance abuse. In one of the chapters titled ‘Bite Me,’ the ‘Legally Blonde’ actress opened up about how she has bitten Sienna Miller, Seth MacFarlane, and Kate Moss at separate times in social settings over the years. She described the incidents in detail, sharing how she bit Miller on the arm when they met at the Chateau Marmont for the first time. She also added that Miller “didn’t shame me” for the behaviour. As for 52-year-old MacFarlane, the two were at a nightclub in Las Vegas when another actor, Seth Green, introduced them. She wrote that she bit MacFarlane because he was someone she looked up to, but she felt “as if I [did not] bring anything to the party” in that moment. Lastly, she also talked about biting Moss on the finger and how the model bit her back. “I loved how she bit me back, because that put an end to that,” she had written in the chapter. This revelation comes after the Associated Press reported that the ‘Cruel Intentions’ actress had been detained by the police at the airport and was taken to a hospital and then presented in front of a judge for assault. She allegedly assaulted a flight attendant, one of the police officers escorting her, and one of the nurses at the hospital. One of the many injuries listed included “some bite marks.”
Selma Blair says she was not feeling her best before the plane incident
Hours before the incident, which has resulted in assault charges being filed against the star, Blair posted on her Instagram about how she is going for some schedule. She wrote, “From LA to New Mexico to LA to NYC to LA Scout, and I have been busy. I miss you.” A fan had replied to her post by sharing, “I’m so happy [you’re] feeling great and doing great and making new memories!” to which the star had replied by sharing, “I’m. It’s great. I’m sad. I’m grateful. I hope. I am not great.”As of right now, Blair has entered a not guilty plea, though if she is found guilty of the crime, she could be facing seven years in prison.
