Since packing their bags and moving back to the UK, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have had little to no interaction with the royal family. Harry has been open about his desire to repair his relationship with his family, but royal observers believe his actions say otherwise.
Harry and Meghan have reportedly expressed interest in reclaiming their royal status and titles, even making “official unofficial” royal appearances together.
Sources told royal pundit Rob Shuter that the couple is chasing headlines, and the royal family plans to respond in one major way: silence.
“The monarchy thinks in decades, not news cycles,” a royal source explained to Shuter’s Naughty But Nice. “Harry wants a fight. He wants the palace to react. But silence is their greatest weapon. They know it drives him crazy.”

Other sources pointed out that the royal family isn’t worried, given that each member knows exactly what Harry is like. “Harry has thrown tantrums his entire life,” an insider said. “The only difference is that now the whole world gets to watch. The family has endured him [for] decades. All that therapy hasn’t changed him.”
“Harry is becoming the boy who cried wolf,” another added. “Every new complaint gets less attention. Eventually, people stop listening. The palace doesn’t have to destroy his credibility. He’s doing that himself.”
Additional insiders noted that the royals “refuse to engage in personal attacks,” saying they “won’t get down in the mud.”
“Harry wants a war, but you can’t fight someone who refuses to fight back,” a separate source stated, while another told Shuter that the royals “know Harry’s history of terrible judgment. They’re not plotting his next embarrassment. They’re waiting for him to create it himself.”
Well, this royal soap opera shows no signs of concluding anytime soon.
