Lucky Daye Wins Two Grammys on Back Vocal
2022·2025 Grammys…Release of the 5th full album [ALOUD!]
Lucky Daye, an R&B musician who jumped from background vocals to Grammy winners by pop stars such as Nyo and Boys to Men, released his fifth full-length album [ALOUD!]. [ALOUD!] is an album that contains the freedom to live in one’s own way, away from the eyes of others and the existing framework, and like its previous work [Algorithm], it transcends genres such as R&B, rock, and alternative, and presents a lighter and more relaxed sound.
It was joined by producer D’Mile, a longtime collaborative partner of Lucky Day, and featured Leon Thomas, Pusha T, Money Long, Akeem Ali and The Paradox.
사진 확대Lucky Day, who participated in songs by several artists as a composer and background vocalist, made her debut as a solo artist in 2018, and was also called by top musicians, including her name as a co-writer on Beyoncé’s seventh full-length album “ALIEN SUPERSTAR”. He won the Grammy ‘Best Progressive R&B Album Award’ for [Table For Two] in 2022 and the ‘Best Traditional R&B Performance Award’ for ‘That’s You’ in 2025.
The title song “Mouf Say” is a jazz-colored track that works with rapper Pusha T, and although words say they have no heart, action and atmosphere portray the tension of a relationship toward the opposite.
사진 확대The performance of the pre-release songs is also noticeable. “Nowhere Fast,” which sampled Rihanna’s “Birthday Cake,” ranked in the top 20 in the U.S. R&B radio chart, and “Fly U Out” with Leon Thomas ranked 19th on the Billboard R&B chart, raising expectations for the new report.
Meanwhile, Lucky Day was nominated for four Grammy Awards for her debut album [Painted] in 2019, and she won Best Progressive R&B Album for her album [Table for Two] in 2022.
Soran’s first winter concert since the transition to the LG Arts Center in Seoul on Nov. 21-22
Band Soran will hold a winter concert “LAYERING” at LG SIGNITURE Hall in Seoul, LG Arts Center, on November 21 and 22. In particular, this is the first winter concert since the transition of the one-man system, and the performance name “LAYERING” means that it is adding new stories on top of the music and moments it has built up since the EP “Layer” released in September.
This year, Soran showed an expanded musical spectrum through “Draw an Apple,” “Delivery,” “Feat. MIYEON” and EP “Layer.” It is expected that you will be able to meet the newly established repertoire at this concert.
사진 확대The disturbance that appeared on the GMF stage last time also heralded the existence of the “opportunity cost medley,” a popular corner of winter concerts. The “Opportunity Cost Medley” is a segment that reinterprets the songs of artists who hold performances during the same period in the style of Soran, with the aim of filling the regrets of other performances that the audience who chose the concert had to give up.
Expectations are high on what new moment the disturbance, which has steadily established itself as a performance powerhouse based on its unique pleasant stage manners, active communication with the audience, and solid live performance, will present to the audience at this “LAYERING.”
사진 확대LAYERING, the winter concert of Soran, will be held at LG Art Center Seoul LG SIGNITURE Hall at 6 p.m. on November 21 and 4 p.m. on November 22, and can be booked through LG Art Center Seoul’s official website and YES24 tickets.
