Mumbai, October 28: The prices of gold and silver have been witnessing a fluctuation in the last few weeks, with silver crossing INR 1 lakh and gold surging past INR 80,000 for 24-karat. However, the demand for both gold and silver is likely to be on the rise with the festive season of Dhanteras, Diwali and the wedding season here. According to Good Returns, gold is priced at INR 7,359 per gram for 22-karat gold and INR 8,028 per gram for 24-karat gold as of today, October 28. On the other hand, the price of silver in India is INR 97.90 per gram and INR 97,900 per kilogram as of Monday.

Amid the fluctuations in gold prices, Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd (MOFSL) said that silver prices are expected to reach INR 1,25,000 per kilogram on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) within the next 12 to 15 months. The financial services firm also stated that gold prices are likely to reach INR 81,000 per 10 grams in the medium term and INR 86,000 in the long term.
