DeFi doesn’t just need more liquidity. It needs better ways to get liquidity where it’s actually needed.

I’ve been thinking about this whenever I look at the tokenization market.

Putting assets onchain is an important step, but it doesn’t automatically connect those assets to the capital, distribution channels and liquidity providers needed to make them useful.

This is the part of the market where Turtle caught my attention.

As a non-custodial liquidity distribution protocol, Turtle connects protocols looking for liquidity with liquidity providers through curated vault opportunities and distribution tools.

And its Q3 report gives us something concrete to examine.

Turtle and Lunar Strategy generated $1.04M in Q3 revenue, on a cash-in basis and net of intercompany.

What makes this result interesting is that the revenue came from services and distribution while the infrastructure was still being developed.

Hare launched with GSR, with 100M committed over several years. Creator Wire shipped in late August, and Streams became self serve.

Hare and Lunar Strategy also became the first two businesses outside Turtle running on its tools.

I see this as an important step beyond simply launching products. It shows that the infrastructure is beginning to serve actual business operations.

There is still a lot to build in the tokenization stack. Tokenized assets beyond stablecoins already stood at $46.1B on November 4.

For me, the interesting question is no longer just how many assets move onchain, but how efficiently the ecosystem can connect them with liquidity.

That’s the problem @turtledotxyz is working on.

And I think its Q3 results make that story worth paying attention to.
