Netflix has officially found its latest hit series by way of the new season of one of its most popular shows. First released in 2024, it stars Kristen Bell as an agnostic sex podcaster who is cynical about dating, and Adam Brody as an unconventional rabbi who has recently become single. Together, the duo make magic in what critics have called “one of the year’s best comedies.”
Everybody Wants Netflix’s Newest Smash Hit
Despite being called Nobody Wants This, it seems a lot of people want Netflix’s newest hit. Season 3 of the Emmy-nominated series returned on Oct. 22, and since then, viewers have been rediscovering their love for the show, thus propelling it to streaming glory.
Upon its debut, Season 3 of Nobody Wants This quickly shot up to #1 on the daily Top 10 charts, but the real story is in how well it did overall. For the week of Oct. 19–25, Netflix reports that the series placed second on the list of Global Top 10 English-language Shows, earning 6.2 million views for a total of 29.4 million hours watched. Coming in first was Josh Hartnett’s recent thriller hit, Below, which has proven to be quite the juggernaut these past few weeks.

Also starring Justine Lupe, Timothy Simons, and Jackie Tohn (with special guest appearances by Seth Rogen, Leighton Meester, and Leslie Grossman), Nobody Wants This focuses on Bell’s character of Joanne, and Brody’s trash-talking rabbi, Noah. When the two meet at a dinner party, sparks fly even though their lifestyles and worldviews seem like an unlikely match.
It’s that chemistry between the two that makes Nobody Wants This so good, though. By putting a fresh spin on the “opposites attract” and “forbidden love” tropes that have become staples of mainstream romcoms, Netflix delivers a series that balances steamy humor with genuine sweetness. Sure, it might have a lot of profanity and feature more talk about sex than a Dr. Ruth Westheimer seminar (rest in peace, queen), but if you’re not a prude, Nobody Wants This is a fantastic series that’s well worth binge-watching.
‘Nobody Wants This’ Is a Near-Perfect Series
We could go on and on about how good Nobody Wants This really is, but don’t just take our word for it. The show holds an overall score of 87% on Rotten Tomatoes, making it a near-perfect hit.
“Nobody Wants This has everything you could possibly want in a romcom: sizzling chemistry between the romantic leads, hilarious set-pieces, and a talented ensemble that make the relationships feel authentic and real,” writes critic Natasha Alvar from The Fiction Department. Austin Burke from Flick Fan Nation echoes those sentiments about Brody and Bell having insane chemistry together, while also adding that “the supporting cast cements this as one to watch.”
Viewers agree, scoring Nobody Wants This a solid 84%, and calling everything from “funny and engaging” to “the best romcom series I’ve watched in years.” If that doesn’t convince you to check it out on Netflix, we don’t know what will.
