Ruhee Dosani: From Content Creator to Aspiring Actor |

Ruhee Dosani rose to fame with her high-energy Bollywood and Punjabi dance videos while living in the US. She moved back to India after a trip changed the course of her life and recently, she found herself entering reality television with Alliance. Talking about her move, she says, “Coming back to India was an impulsive decision and so was Alliance. I like to go with the flow… jo hoga dekha jayega was my mantra.”Ruhee’s journey from an IT professional in the US to a full-time content creator has been anything but conventional. She began making dance videos during the pandemic, largely as a way of staying connected with home and Indian culture. Her videos, often featuring Bollywood songs and her American friends, went viral, with Diljit Dosanjh’s repost giving her a major push. But it was a visit to India that convinced her to make a bigger leap. “My first collab was with Aamir Khan here. My manager asked me to move to India. In 15 days, I sold my car, got off my apartment lease and moved back.”While Alliance gave audiences a glimpse of Ruhee outside her familiar social media space, is acting on her mind now? She says, “I’m a content creator first because I love creating content. But I’d love to pursue acting.”
