Heading into the 2026 Daytime Emmys, Kelly Clarkson had already won eight trophies for her eponymous talk show: four for producing, four for hosting. Well, she added one more producing Emmy to her total on Friday night, winning Best Daytime Talk Series. The Kelly Clarkson Show won five statuettes overall.
Clarkson did not attend the star-studded ceremony, which was held at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles. Neither did Sherri Shepherd, who upset Clarkson to win Best Talk Series Host for Sherri.
Although The Kelly Clarkson Show is now off the air, this won’t be its last time competing at the Daytime Emmys.
The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences adheres to calendar-year eligibility, so Clarkson and team were eligible this year for the season that aired in 2025. The talk show went off the air on Aug. 31 (see Gold Derby’s play-by-play of her final episode), which means its last hurrah will actually be at the 2027 Daytime Emmys.
The Kelly Clarkson Show also took home four additional Emmys on Friday evening: Best Hairstyling & Makeup (in a tie with Beyond the Gates), Best Sound Mixing & Sound Editing, Best Art Direction/Set Decoration/Scenic Design, and Best Directing.
“After seven amazing seasons, it’s our final episode,” Clarkson declared in her emotional finale. The inaugural American Idol winner, current The Voice coach, and three-time Grammy winner went viral one last time for belting out a fan-requested cover of “Golden,” the award-winning KPop Demon Hunters anthem.
