Tampa-based defense contractor C3EL won three federal contracts with a combined estimated value of $12.08 million in September, securing new work with the U.S. Coast Guard, Federal Communications Commission and Department of the Interior.

The awards capped a year in which the woman-owned company also landed an Air Force cybersecurity contract and gained access to major NASA and Missile Defense Agency procurement programs.

The largest deal, a five-year Coast Guard agreement worth an estimated $8.39 million, calls for C3EL to design, install, maintain and upgrade video conferencing and communications systems at facilities across the agency’s network, including equipment used for classified and unclassified operations.

C3EL also won a $2.29 million contract to modernize conference rooms, collaboration spaces and the operations center at FCC headquarters in Washington, D.C., plus a five-year, $1.4 million agreement to upgrade audio and visual systems at the Department of the Interior’s Stewart Lee Udall Building, also in Washington.

The September contracts followed an Air Force award that put C3EL cybersecurity specialists to work in March at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska, supporting the Defense Red Switch Network — a secure communications system used by senior national security officials, military commands, federal agencies and U.S. allies.

The company did not disclose the contract’s value. Its work for the Air Force’s 55th Strategic Communications Squadron includes cybersecurity assessments, security documentation, system configuration reviews and compliance inspections.

C3EL, formally known as Command Control Communications Engineering & Logistics, also secured positions on NASA’s Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement VI program and the Missile Defense Agency’s Scalable Homeland Innovative Enterprise Layered Defense program, known as SHIELD.

Both give the company additional ways to compete for federal technology, engineering and cybersecurity work, although neither guarantees revenue. The company also completed its Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Level 2 assessment, meeting Department of Defense requirements for protecting controlled unclassified information and qualifying for contracts that require the certification.

“FY26 demonstrated the depth and breadth of what C3EL can deliver for our federal customers,” said Miguel Gorordo, the company’s vice president of growth. “Going into FY27, our priorities are to execute these programs exceptionally well, continue investing in our people and capabilities, and build on this momentum across critical defense and civilian missions.”

C3EL provides cybersecurity, information technology, communications, engineering, systems integration and logistics services to the Defense Department and other federal agencies.

The company did not disclose its annual revenue, workforce size or whether the new contracts would create additional jobs in Tampa Bay.
