U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs suffered $542.1 million in net outflows during the week ended October 9, marking their heaviest weekly loss since January. Solana ETFs also turned negative, ending a record 14-week streak of inflows as withdrawals spread across major crypto investment products.

Bitcoin ETFs added to the pressure, losing $681.1 million during the same period. Combined withdrawals from Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana funds reached approximately $1.25 billion, according to SoSoValue data analyzed by The Block.

The figures point to a sharp reversal in demand for U.S. spot crypto ETFs after several weeks of positive flows.

Ethereum ETFs Extend Losing Streak to Nine Days

Ethereum ETFs recorded $542.1 million in weekly outflows, their largest loss since the week ended January 23, when withdrawals reached $611.2 million.

The funds have now posted net outflows for nine consecutive trading days. Withdrawals during that period reached $697.2 million, extending the current selling streak that began on September 29.

BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA) accounted for $477 million of the weekly withdrawals, representing roughly 88% of the category’s total. It recorded outflows in all five trading sessions.

Tuesday was particularly weak, with ETHA losing $201.9 million. Ethereum funds recorded another $160.9 million in net outflows on Wednesday.

The withdrawals reduced total Ethereum ETF net assets by 10% over the week to $15.71 billion. However, the funds remained positive for 2026, with year-to-date net inflows of $931.8 million.

BlackRock’s ETHA Reverse Split Coincides With Outflows

BlackRock’s ETHA underwent a 1-for-3 reverse share split on Tuesday, the same day the fund recorded $201.9 million in outflows.

The split combined every three existing shares into one share, increasing the price per share while leaving the overall value of an investor’s holdings unchanged.

A reverse split does not itself reduce the value of an investor’s position. The reported flow figures also do not establish why investors withdrew their money, so the timing alone does not show that the share split caused the redemptions.

ETHA’s large share of the weekly withdrawals nevertheless made it the main driver of Ethereum ETF outflows.

Solana ETFs End Record 14-Week Inflow Run

Solana ETFs recorded $24.8 million in net outflows during the week, ending a 14-week run of consecutive weekly inflows.

The withdrawal was the largest weekly loss since the products launched in late October 2025. Solana funds recorded outflows in all five trading sessions, according to the reported SoSoValue data.

Bitwise’s Solana Staking ETF (BSOL), the largest Solana fund, accounted for $20.9 million of the weekly withdrawals, or approximately 84% of the category’s total.

The reversal followed a strong period for Solana investment products. Two weeks earlier, the funds attracted a record $188.2 million in weekly inflows. Their combined net assets have since fallen from a September 25 record of $1.96 billion to $1.73 billion.

The latest figures suggest that demand for Solana ETFs has weakened after months of sustained inflows. One negative week, however, does not establish whether the longer-term trend has changed.

Bitcoin ETFs Also See Heavy Withdrawals

Spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $681.1 million in net outflows over the same five sessions. The withdrawals ended three consecutive weeks of inflows into Bitcoin funds.

Together, Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana ETFs lost approximately $1.25 billion during the week. The simultaneous withdrawals show that selling pressure extended beyond Ethereum to other major crypto investment products.

The trend follows a difficult period for crypto prices. Bitcoin fell sharply during the week, while Ethereum also came under pressure amid a broader market selloff.

Investors have been watching ETF flows as one indicator of institutional demand. As covered in our earlier report on Bitcoin ETF outflows and macroeconomic pressure, withdrawals from these funds can coincide with wider weakness in the crypto market.

However, ETF outflows do not reveal investors’ reasons for selling or prove that all withdrawn capital has left crypto markets.

What the ETF Outflows Mean for Crypto

The latest withdrawals mark a difficult week for U.S. spot crypto ETFs. Ethereum recorded its heaviest weekly loss since January, Solana’s long inflow streak ended, and Bitcoin funds returned to net outflows.

The next sessions will help show whether the withdrawals continue or demand begins to recover. Investors will also be watching whether Ethereum funds can break their nine-day losing streak and whether Solana ETFs return to positive weekly flows.

For now, the data show a clear pullback in demand across three major crypto ETF categories. Whether it signals a lasting shift in investor sentiment will depend on the weeks ahead.
