Jennifer Hudson showed up to the 53rd Daytime Emmy Awards this Friday in an eye-catching ensemble after receiving a nomination for Outstanding Daytime Talk Series Host for her work on “The Jennifer Hudson Show.” The EGOT winner shimmered on the red carpet in a floor length metallic gown from the Christian Siriano Spring 2027 Ready to Wear Collection.
Crafted from gold floral blockade, the strapless dress featured a dramatic plunging scoop-neck that led into a bodice with pronounced vertical boning and then ended with a form-fitted contoured skirt. The simple-but-elegant cut was made even more glamorous by the luminous nature of the fabric, which glittered underneath the lights on Friday’s red carpet. The dress had a gold backdrop with plenty of metallic hues blended into the swirling pattern, varying shades of silver appearing along the fabric for a gorgeous foil-like motif.

Hudson paired the radiant look with a large pair of gold hoop earrings that spelled out the words EGOT and a simple butterfly pendant. She wore minimalist makeup complete with a nude-toned lipstick and light mascara.
Hudson is an EGOT winner, so she’s no stranger to the awards circuit, frequently appearing in show-stopping attire for various events over the years. This past February at the Grammys, Hudson appeared with a leather one-shoulder dress with a massive bow-like embellishment on the left shoulder. Once again, the star added some boldly reflective tones to the look, wearing a pair of Le Silla Bella pewter metallic pumps. Like Hudson’s Daytime Emmys look, the pumps shone on the red carpeting, possessing a mirror-like effect that reflected the lighting.

This year, Hudson lost the Emmy to Sherri Shepherd, who won for her work on the eponymous “Sherri” series. However, Hudson has previously snagged a daytime Emmy back in 2021. Hudson received the award for Outstanding Interactive Media for a Daytime Program for her work as an executive producer on “Baba Yaga,” a virtual reality animated film.
