Azure Striker Gunvolt Trilogy Enhanced Pre-Orders Open for Switch 2

INTI CREATES announced that, in collaboration with Cometsoft, pre-orders for the physical Nintendo Switch 2 edition of Azure Striker Gunvolt Trilogy Enhanced (hereinafter Azure Striker Gunvolt Trilogy Enhanced) opened on the 8th. The Korean physical edition is scheduled for release on the 22nd.

Azure Striker Gunvolt Trilogy Enhanced is a side-scrolling 2D action game that compiles all three mainline entries in the series—Azure Striker Gunvolt (2014), Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 (2016), and Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 (2022)—along with all DLC. Key features of the series include fully voiced light novel-style dialogue integrated into action gameplay and over 37 songs sung by the ‘Cyber Diva’.

This edition is tailored for the Nintendo Switch 2 based on the game of the same name released on July 24, 2025. In addition to improved frame rates and 4K TV output support, it adds a new scenario titled ‘Azure Striker GUNVOLT GX’. In this scenario, series protagonist ‘Gunvolt (GUNVOLT)’ fights alongside ‘Copen’, the protagonist of the spin-off Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX 2. An ‘Inspiration’ system, which utilizes new weapons and the synergy between the two main characters, will also be featured.

The series is set in a near future where individuals possessing special powers known as ‘Septimas’ have emerged. In the first installment, ‘Gunvolt’, as a member of the organization ‘FEATHER’, stands against the ‘Sumeragi Group’, which forcibly detains power-users and conducts human experiments on them. The second entry follows ‘Gunvolt’ and ‘Copen’ as they battle ‘Eden’, a multinational alliance of power-users. In the third title, ‘Gunvolt’, who has awakened to a stage beyond ‘Septimas’, appears alongside ‘Kirin’, a battle priestess who seals his awakening.

The Korean physical release will be available in two versions: Standard Edition and Limited Edition. The Limited Edition includes the 304-page A4 art book Azure Striker Gunvolt Series Official Complete Works, the 7-CD set Azure Striker Gunvolt Complete Soundtrack, and the single song CD Azure Striker Gunvolt Bonus Song Collection. The Limited Edition packaging features exclusive new artwork.

The game supports Korean subtitles and single-player local play. It is rated for ages 12 and up.
