We love a sweet, hard-working, unproblematic couple. Oh, and stunning too. While we weren’t looking, Andrew Garfield and Monica Barbaro made their red-carpet debut. The moment happened on Sunday, at the British Film Institute’s London Film Festival held at the Royal Festival Hall.
The pair attended the screening and premiere of their new biographical dramedy, Artificial. Directed by Luca Guadagnino, the film has Garfield playing OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and Barbaro playing a company executive. (This is the couple’s first time working together on screen, and collaboration sure looks good on them.)

For the evening, Barbaro slipped into a beautiful ice-blue midi dress with a ruffled hem from Christian Dior. The minimalist piece was covered entirely in sequins and held up by barely-there spaghetti straps. Silver sandals from Paris Texas complemented the dress perfectly. And for a contrast to the shimmer, Barbaro had her brown hair styled in soft waves and wore natural, rosy makeup.
Garfield, meanwhile, leaned into autumn with his earthy shades. An olive-green blazer and button-down were met with coffee-colored trousers and glossy black dress shoes. The look was courtesy of Brioni.

Barbaro and Garfield wrapped their arms around one another on the red carpet, but they did not walk it alone. Instead, they were joined by their film’s director, as well as fellow cast members Yura Borisov, Ike Barinholtz, and Mark Rylance. It still counts!
The actors began publicly dating in early 2025, and while they have attended several high-profile events together (like Wimbledon this summer), this is their first red-carpet date.
