Ranbir Kapoor has added another significant milestone to his box office journey. His latest release, Ramayana – Part I, has crossed the Rs. 200 crore mark at the Indian box office, becoming the actor’s fourth film to enter the coveted Rs. 200 crore club. The mythological epic, which released on Thursday, November 5, has achieved the feat in just four days, making it Ranbir’s second-fastest film to reach the milestone.

As per the latest box office figures, Ramayana has collected approximately Rs. 200.30 crores nett across all languages. The film opened at Rs. 62.47 crores on Thursday, followed by Rs. 45.84 crores on Friday and Rs. 67.80 crores on Saturday. With Sunday’s collections taking the cumulative total past Rs. 200 crores,
Interestingly, Ramayana has managed to surpass the speed at which two of Ranbir’s earlier blockbusters, Sanju (2018) and Brahmastra – Part One: Shiva (2022), entered the Rs. 200 crore club. However, Animal (2023) continues to hold the record for being Ranbir Kapoor’s fastest Rs. 200 crore grosser, having achieved the milestone in just three days. Ramayana, meanwhile, has taken four days to achieve the same milestone, just one day more than Animal.
Ranbir’s 2018 blockbuster Sanju, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, took seven days to cross Rs. 200 crores. On the other hand, Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra – Part One: Shiva took ten days to achieve the milestone.
Another interesting aspect is that Ranbir’s four Rs. 200 crore grossers belong to vastly different genres. While Sanju was a biographical drama, Brahmastra was a fantasy adventure, Animal was an intense action drama and Ramayana is a mythological epic. The diversity of these films highlights Ranbir’s ability to attract theatrical audiences across genres.
