The employer organizes safe working conditions at the enterprise’s workplaces, while remote workers during air raid alerts must independently ensure their safety.

Remote workers do not need to be specifically called to the office to familiarize themselves with the order on the procedure during an air raid alert. The employer can acquaint them with the documents in electronic form in compliance with labor legislation requirements.

According to part three of article 29 of the Labor Code of Ukraine, the employer may use electronic communication means to familiarize employees with orders, notifications, and other documents. The legal requirements for electronic document management must be observed for this purpose.

Therefore, employees working remotely are not obliged to attend collective meetings to sign the order on the work procedure during air raid alerts.

If the enterprise operates at several addresses, the employer may issue one order with rules for all sites. At the same time, instructions must provide separate action algorithms for each location, taking into account working conditions and risk levels.

Regarding the safety of remote workers, the employer organizes safe working conditions at the enterprise’s workplaces, while remote workers during air raid alerts must independently take care of their safety at their actual location.
