Felix Redka announced the cancellation of his concerts in Khmelnytskyi and Ivano-Frankivsk. Earlier, the Ukrainian stand-up comedian’s performance in Lviv was also canceled. This concerns the “Felix Redka’s Odyssey” tour, which the artist had announced in various cities in Ukraine and abroad. Specifically, performances were scheduled to take place in Warsaw, London, Amsterdam, Vienna, Prague, Berlin, and Vancouver.
Lviv was supposed to be one of the comedian’s stops, but the Dovzhenko Center, where the show was scheduled for October 29, announced the cancellation of the event. On Wednesday, October 7, Felix Redka said that he had also been denied permission to perform in Khmelnytskyi and Ivano-Frankivsk.
“In Khmelnytskyi, the concert was canceled 13 days in advance because ‘the equipment broke down.’ In addition to Lviv and Khmelnytskyi, the show in Ivano-Frankivsk has also been canceled,” the comedian wrote in a thread.
Some of the tickets for the comedian’s 80-minute shows at the Khmelnytskyi Puppet Theater and at “Promprylad” in Ivano-Frankivsk, which were scheduled for October 20 and 27, had already sold out. The organizers warned attendees that the stand-up show would contain profanity, and that donations for the army would be collected at each concert.
As a reminder, Felix Redka, a comedian from Sumy, gained popularity by creating the satirical character of a fictional mayoral candidate, Anatoliy Pochechun, through whom he mocks local politics, officials, and social issues.
The artist is known for numerous controversies surrounding the Ukrainian language. In October 2022, Redka performed in Lviv, where he jokingly estimated the number of Russian bombs that would have to fall for people to stop speaking Russian.
In July 2024, the artist expressed support for parents who speak Russian with their children, and in June 2025, he wrote on social media that the statement “Russia destroyed the Ukrainian language” is a propaganda cliché.
As a reminder, Felix Redka’s concert in Lviv was canceled following a scandal over his remarks.
