Three concerts showcase her first country release

To toast the arrival of her first-ever country album, multi-platinum powerhouse K. Michelle is ready to take the stage for Jesus & Whiskey Weekend: a three-night run of live dates launching on the LP’s release day, October 16th. With stops in New Orleans, Dallas, and Houston, the can’t-miss series of shows will feature songs from the hotly anticipated Jesus & Whiskey alongside standouts from every era of her trailblazing career.

Kicking off at The Fillmore New Orleans before heading to House of Blues Dallas on October 17th and House of Blues Houston on October 18th, Jesus & Whiskey Weekend will bring the new album to electrifying life, spotlighting K. Michelle’s tremendous vocal firepower while heightening the unfiltered intimacy of her storytelling. As an added treat for fans, all audience members who purchase Jesus & Whiskey on-site will have access to a special meet-and-greet with K. Michelle.

On Jesus & Whiskey, the Memphis-born singer/songwriter fully embraces a vibrant but previously untapped side of her musicality, mining inspiration from the iconic country queens she first discovered as a young girl. Along with showcasing raw and rootsy songs like the LP’s slow-burning title track, each Jesus & Whiskey Weekend set will deliver fan favorites from across her extensive discography — a widely celebrated catalog including five consecutive Billboard-charting LPs, beginning with her gold-certified 2013 debut Rebellious Soul.

Set for release via Real Outlawz Records, Inc. under exclusive license to This Is Hit, Inc. d/b/a BBR Music Group, K. Michelle’s seventh studio album also brings its timeless songwriting and Southern soul to songs like the fierce and fiery “Jack Daniel’s” and the recently released “Yodel” — a breakneck-paced, freewheeling romp flaunting the virtuosic yodeling skills that earned her a music scholarship to Florida A&M University. Bringing together her all-new country material and the R&B classics that first made her a star, Jesus & Whiskey Weekend ultimately gives fans the rare chance to experience the full scope of her genre-defying artistry in one unforgettable night.
