Salman Khan has warned that he will take strict action against paparazzi who continue taking pictures of actresses from behind without their consent. The actor made the announcement on Bigg Boss 20 after Neha Dhupia thanked him for speaking out against the practice, adding that photographers had continued doing it despite his earlier warning.
Salman also claimed that some celebrities invite paparazzi and pay them to take such pictures, while others are uncomfortable with the practice. He said photographers must respect the wishes of the person being photographed.
Salman Khan Warns Paparazzi Of Strict Action
Salman said some celebrities were comfortable with such pictures, while others had clearly objected to them. He urged photographers to understand the difference and respect individual boundaries.
“There are also some women and some guys who call them (paps) there, pay for them there, they ask them to do this. Wo bhi kya krein?”
The actor added, “Jinko chahiye wo karo bhai. Jinko nahi chahiye unko chuna nahi tum,” making it clear that photographers should not take such pictures when a person has expressed discomfort.
Salman also addressed Neha directly, saying that photographers must take actresses seriously when they ask them not to take certain pictures.
“When you girls come and say ki ‘Ye nahi karna’, uske baad karenge to phir dekhenge unko.”
Salman Says Paparazzi Are Taking More Such Pictures
Salman said that paps have increased the practice despite his earlier comments on the show. He said some people were treating his warning as a joke and claimed that even major platforms were involved.
“Now they started doing even more but I’ll take a big stand on it,” he said, adding, “They think right now it is a joke. And, some big platforms are doing it. I’ll take full on action.”
Neha thanked Salman for raising the issue on a prominent platform. Her response came as the actor renewed his warning against photographers who ignore actresses’ objections to such pictures.
What Salman Khan Said About The Issue Earlier
Salman Khan had addressed the paps controversy during a Bigg Boss 20 episode in September 2026. He questioned why photographers deliberately took pictures focusing on actresses’ thighs or photographed them from behind, particularly when the women had not consented to such shots.
Referring to the practice, he said, “And then the one shot they take from behind, which none of the heroines like? There must be a few who say it’s okay, I don’t mind it. But what about those who don’t like it?”
The actor also referred to Neha’s earlier stand against such photography and an incident involving Saiee Manjrekar and his own niece. He urged women who were uncomfortable with these pictures to speak up and defend their boundaries.
“I am saying this to all the girls who don’t like this. Jahan aisa hua, ghoom ke chamaat maaro.”
Salman Khan has now said he intends to take stronger action.
