With Jordan’s participation: IMF, World Bank meetings start Monday | Business

Ammon News – The 2024 Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group (WBG) will take place from Monday, October 21 to Saturday, October 26, in Washington, with Jordan’s participation.

Jordanian Minister of planning and International Cooperation Zeina Toukan, Minister of Finance Abdul Hakim Al-Shibli, and Governor of the Central Bank Adel Sharkas, will attend the meetings.

The meetings will continue with the participation of a group of representatives from the government sector, the business sector, international organizations, civil society, and academic circles.

Also, the meetings will focus on a number of pressing issues, including the dynamics of the food economy, accelerating gender equality, mechanisms for achieving sustainable development, and the complexities facing global financial markets.
